CosMx™ SMI Morphology & Probe Kits

CosMx™ Spatial Molecular Imager sample runs require specific information to associate the data collected by the instrument to the correct targets included in each CosMx Assay or Segmentation kit:

• CosMx RNA and Protein Assay kits have an associated Probe Kit (one for each panel Core and Add-on supplied) to provide this data.
• CosMx Segmentation kits have an associated Morphology Kit (one for each channel measured) to provide this data.

This information is selected during the Flow Cell Configuration process as outlined in the CosMx SMI Instrument User Manual. Probe kits for off-the-shelf assays should be available automatically on your instrument. For any custom assay, please reach out to AtoMxKitAdmin@nanostring.com to ensure the correct kit is available.

Please note, failure to use the correct probe kit can lead to data loss, and thus it is crucial the correct kit is chosen. If you do not see the Segmentation Kit or Probe Kit information you need, please contact support@nanostring.com for assistance.
