BSI Congress 2023
This is the UK’s top immunology event attracting over 1,500 attendees to enjoy our four-day programme of cutting-edge research from leading UK and international researchers.
NanoString Workshop | Wednesday 6th December | 1:15pm – 2:10pm
Advancements in Tissue Digital Spatial Profiling and Single Cell Spatial Molecular Imaging Unveil Immunological Landscapes through a Multiomics Lens
Join this session to learn how to incorporate spatial multiomics in your next immunology research project. Results obtained using the CosMx Spatial Molecular Imager will be presented as examples of the power of single-cell spatial multiomics. We will also introduce the GeoMx IPA, which is the highest-plex spatial proteomics panel available for FFPE and fresh frozen tissue sections. Do not miss this session!
Researcher Presentation | Tuesday 5th December | Studio | 11:45am – 12:00pm
Immune ageing synergises with Immunosuppression leading to impaired tumour immunity and poorer outcomes in kidney transplant recipients
Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC) is the most common malignancy in immunosuppressed populations, demonstrating increased aggression compared to the general population, with doubled risk of metastasis and cancer-related mortality. One such immunosuppressed group is organ transplant recipients.
Join this session to learn how high-resolution spatial transcriptomic profiling using the 1,800-gene ‘Cancer Transcriptome Atlas’ probe set on the GeoMx Digital Spatial Proflier was utilised to evaluate alterations in gene expression and transcriptomic pathways within the tumour and immune-rich peritumoral regions of SCC excised from KTR.
