Dr. Andrew Brown has over 23 years of sales and business development experience in the Life Science industry, focused primarily on the adoption of leading-edge technologies in biopharma, CRO and clinical lab market segments. Before joining Sirona Dx in 2020, Andrew managed the single cell proteomics business at Fluidigm. At Life Technologies, he drove a clinical market development strategy for Next Generation DNA Sequencing, while at Stratagene, Andrew developed the North American biopharma market with a focus on real time qPCR systems and applications. Andrew has a PhD from the University of London / Imperial Cancer Research Fund.
Erik Gerdtsson
Director of Bioinformatics, Sirona Dx
Erik Gerdtsson is Director of Bioinformatics at Sirona Dx. With a background in Biotechnology Engineering, he spent the last 10 years specializing in multiplexed imaging and spatial analysis. Erik has worked at the University of Southern California (USC) and for various companies, contributing his expertise in software development and bioinformatics to advance research in the pharmaceutical industry and clinical studies.
Elizabeth Gould, Ph.D.
Principal Scientist, Sirona Dx
Elizabeth Gould is a principal scientist at Sirona Dx. She received her doctorate degree in neuroscience from the University of Colorado, Denver. Her advocacy for rigorous and reproducible experimental design has earned her the nickname of “control queen.” She is interested in spatial omics, quality metrics, and interpretable results.
Carlo Bifulco, M.D.
Scientific Advisor, Sirona Dx
Dr. Bifulco is a board-certified Surgical Pathologist with specialized training in Molecular Genetic Pathology and Hematopathology. He is the Chief Medical Officer at Providence Genomics and leads the Translational Molecular Pathology division at the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute, part of the Providence Cancer Institute in Portland, Oregon. Before his current role, Dr. Bifulco was a faculty member at Yale University's Pathology department and completed fellowships at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Yale. His research focuses on integrating personalized medicine, spatial biology, and AI.
