The GeoMx Digital Spatial Profiler (DSP) is a slide-based platform that can resolve tissue heterogeneity and non-destructively profile expression of RNA and protein from distinct tissue compartments and cell populations in a tissue. GeoMx allows you to spatially profile the whole transcriptome and 570+ protein targets separately or simultaneously from your choice of sample inputs, which can be whole tissue sections, tissue microarrays (TMAs), or organoids. The platform uses fluorescent antibodies as morphology markers to define regions of interest (ROIs). The RNA, or protein probes bound to their targets in those ROIs are then photo-cleaved and sequenced. The information decoded upon sequencing is then uploaded back onto the instrument for further analysis. Such biology driven profiling makes GeoMx an ideal platform for biomarker discovery and hypothesis testing in various fields of life sciences.
